5 walking mistakes to avoid if you want to lose weight
If you are serious about walking for your health and fitness the first thing that you need to do is not check your pedometer, pedometer app, or fitness band when you are walking. Rather, you should use them to check how much work you are putting in during a day. If you want to lose weight first find out how many steps you are walking in a day.
Do not find excuses to not work out or walk
Please do not find any excuse to skip your gym work. There could be million reasons why you want to do so. However, if you are serious about achieving your goals this is something that you must get over. You need to work out every day.
Do not think you are burning more calories than what you are doing
It is true that brisk walking would help you burn a lot of calories. However, you should not be under any impression in such a context. You need to be careful with your diet in this regard as well because people tend to over compensate their workout with unhealthy junk food afterwards.
Try and breathe harder
When you are walking to lose weight try and breathe as hard as you can. Please do not think that doing so would be detrimental to your health. If you are walking properly you would breathe harder than normal. Such breathing is a sign that you are doing the work the right way. It should encourage you.
Do not do the same exercise every day
It could be that you are doing the same thing day in and day out. You are walking the same route at the same pace or perhaps walking only on your treadmill. You need to switch it all up. Try and bring variation in your workout as that would help you achieve optimum results in the end.
